Default noob abs question

just a odd question but last night it was snowing so i figures i give the ABS a try. at 30 mph slammed brakes and tires locked up but did pulsate very slightly but not enough to stop sliding. i have owned varies other vehicles with abs and it is MUCH more noticeable and usual eliminated the sliding.

question is... is that normal for a 94 accord?

to give a little history when i got the car 2 weeks ago ABS light was on due to wrong half shaft being installed. once i replaced axles and rotors (old ones where warped and had already been turned) abs light no longer turns on. I have replaced the battery so a i am sure the ECU is reset so i doubt it is the ECU

Default Re: noob abs question

sounds normal.

during the winter, after the snow has melted and gravel is all that is left on the roads from the city trucks, if i slam on my brakes, it pulsates very quickly and noticeably. with the snow though, you will always continue to slide. i think abs is great in rain and any other conditions, but in snow, abs just doesnt feel right to me.
