Icon2 Any knowledge of Honda Part Numbers? UK vs. Japan Part No.

Since this is the anything else forum... Does anyone know a little about Honda Part Numbers? I have this 2005 CR-V that needs a replaced taillight. I found one on eghey and come to find out, there are UK spec tails and Japan spec tails.

My CR-V was assembled in England according to the VIN starting with an "S". Now my question since I was trying to find which part is for the England version vs. J-spec version:

33551-SCA-A11 LEFT TAILLIGHT
33551-S9A-A11 LEFT TAILLIGHT

Does anyone know just by looking at the center part of those part numbers know which is which? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys!

you're stateside right? and its a US car? not an EDM or JDM car?

call up your local honda dealer, and the part number they list is the part number of the one thats on your car. so if its the same taillight, then the part numbers will be the same, if its different, the part numbers will be different and you don't want them

I am stateside, and this is a USDM vehicle. There where both USDM CR-Vs made with the country of origin as England and also Japan. So that's why there are 2 part numbers for the taillight. One is for the onese made in Japan, and the other is for the CR-Vs made in England.

Maybe I will get a chance to call, thought I would post this last night when there were no dealerships open. Thanks!

Just called Honda here locally, and this is what I found out:

33551-SCA-A11 made in England
33551-S9A-A11 made in Japan

Hopefully this would help anyone else out there.
