plz need help on h22a 95 >>>
I bought a 93 hatchback and took it in to have an engine swap. I put a h22a 95 with chrome ecu. After the engine swap I took it to another garage to have cam shafts installed, blox type b. They also installed springs, retainers and cam gears. Before i took my car to the garage it had 190 whp, now with the new camshafts and etc. it is 193. My car used to hit at 3000 vtech and now its hitting at 5000 so I am loosing horsepower in the midrange. So what has caused this problem? Is it from the ecu tunning or do I need to get pistons?
All the work I'm doing is all motor, not involving turbo.
thanks.

i did tune it again.. and i think he didnt tune it good ..thats why im asking you guys cuz the guy who tuned my car he said u have to but big pistons ... thats why im asking u guys to help me out..
Bigger pistons would help but it sounds like he's not correct on the new cam durations. Is this the guy who tuned it first to 190whp for u. Is it the same dyno as before. What ecu/ program are u using. Is vtec kicking in. need a little more info, but im no expert.

did you get 193 hp on the same dyno as the 190 hp reading?
readings differ between dynos...........
that said, 190 seems highish stock..........

all i know is if vtec was kicking in at 3000 rpms thats far to low. obviosuly when he tuned it he changed it to 5000 rpms becasue thats what is ideal for your engine to make a smooth power band. but i really dont know much
Honestly kid... You need to really think about things before you actually do them. 190 on a stock motor is a little sketchy. Why in the world would you have vtec hitting at 3000rpm?? Have your car retuned and redynoed.
VTEC engagement at 3k is a little too soon. I think the dyno numbers were skewed the first time around because I highly doubt a stock H22 would pull 190whp. It also sounds like you need to find yourself a better tuner.
