Hey guys, I just bought a XS turbo kit for my 99 H22. I'm thinking about getting the fuel system and hondata with it. What size injectors do I need, type of fuel pump/rail, and what else do I need for my setup. I an amateur with cars. Thanks.

 

sell it, you aren't ready for it.

injectors - above 450CC's so the duty cycle isn't too high for your HP
Hondata - look into the S300 and see if you can afford the tune which should be at least 4hours IIRC.
fuel pump - stock will be fine if you're stock block boosting
fuel rail - stock will be fine if you're stock block

XS- POS ebay crap, don't trust it for anything aside from intercooler piping and intercooler itself if you're not attempting huge power.

 

You have a longway to go on it. but injector size is related to hp goals. 550s would be good to about 270 whp I think. Don't use a stock pump on any turbo setups. Get an aftermarket one that has more flow. Hondata with S300 with boost control is great just get it tuned. Not to be mean but you NEED to do more research on this or your just going to waste money and/or a motor.

 

what else do i need besides these item i have gotten with a basic setup for my Turbo??
and to be safe how much can i be boosting?? to be on the safe side??
- 310 RC injectors
- 225 lph Walbro fuel pump
- process getting hondata s300

 

You pretty much covered everything, you dont need anything else. 310cc RC injectors is overkill, get some 210cc injectors and go slap everything together. Start it and tell us what happens.

310 Rc's are a bit low, someone already mentioned 500+ ccs would be a better choice. Talk to whom ever is tuning your car.
Same goes with hondata. If you don't know anybody that can tune/has capability to tune your car, your just wasting your money.

Put money away to replace parts off your "turbo kit", just a word of advice. The manifold and turbo should atleast be of high quality. The piping is all pretty much the same as is the intercooler. Wastegates and BOV should be high quality as should the EMS

You would have been better off buying a whole used dsm setup for a third or less of the cost. Atleast mitsu can make great quality stock turbo parts.

 

Arent Stock H22 injectors around the 300's? The injectors im using in my setup are precision 880cc injectors...only cuz im going for 350-400plus hp...what are your HP goals? Have u thought about rebuilding the engine 1st maybe? How bout internal work?

And as already suggested RC 310s are similar to stock sized injectors.

 

rebuild your motor first. low comp pistons, valvetrain, cams, etc, then u dont have to worry, especially at 7lbs

Bangher4$ is a complete tard. Hondata is a great mod . S300 is very useful and I have had no troubles. On running boost you can get away with 7 psi , I have but in the end your motor will die. You need to have 4k+ for a motor . Not including the turbo setup. If you thought you would just put on a ebay turbo kit on an H22 you were sadly mistaken. I've got 3k into my turbo setup and that is without a motor and my engine is starting to show signs of trouble but I know that when I started. I didnt care if I FUBAR the motor cause I was going to build a bullet proof one.

Its a long story, hondata is a bully. steals info from honda and calls it their own "intellectual property" and if somone else gets their hands on it, hondata opens a lawsuit. trying to ongopalizes the tuning market.
Search if ya wanna know the whole story. Hondata should be banned from all tuning shops imo.

But hondata is one the best for tuning hondas for NA. But i guess its a different story for turbo. I do see many turbo users using AEM EMS.

i have found no flaws yet either, and the little issues you get with free software are worth it imo. I agree its very user friendly, however, so is Crome or ez-tune. full versions for 130$ whats the cost of hondata's s300 right now? 4-5 hundred?
why would you use it? i dont see any reason to use hondata over any other.
why would you even want to give them buisness after the crap they pulled?
