EG hatch - front brake options
I've read brakexpert's threads on options for brake upgrades. Maybe i missed something, but i didnt see much info on the EG chassis, just the EK(96-00)
My hatch is a cx with stock dinky front rotors. I have acquired the 1" non ABS Master Cyl, 4040 valve and rear integra disc installed, and i'm looking to find some OEM/budget solution for front upgrade.
I saw some info on running Corrado G60 11" rotors with S2000 calipers, i need to know if that bolts on to the cx knuckle like i have or if i need to upgrade to different knuckles.
I've sourced some s2k calipers for $130 shipped for the pair, and i can pickup OE replacement corrado rotors for about $40 per rotor.
Also what size wheel will clear that brake setup
thanks for any info

most likely those wont fit on the cx knuckles.. you need the bigger EX ones and if im not mistaken any 94-01 integra ones will do the same job. another cheap way to improve stopping would be to get the 2000+ accord V6 calipers as there pads have a much larger surface area compared to the stock EX ones. thats one of brakeexperts cheap upgrades.
Here is one of brakeexpert's old threads. Your Cx knuckle is what you need. If you get an Ex/Dc knuckle, that 11 inch rotor will be too small (take it from me, i have the s2000 11.8in upgrade on my eg). The setup below is the Corrado rotors, modified (milled) s2k brackets with the calipers on the 9.5" knickle (what your CX has)
So there you go.
DX/S2000 brake upgrade
This is a for a front brake setup for all 88-00 Civics with the stock 9.5" brakes. Our steering knuckles have the tabs pulled in and don't work with a lot of other setups. However, now there is a great, lightweight option without even needing to change steering knuckles! This setup comes with S2000 calipers, modified brackets, pads, new rotors, and centering rings. It is a bolt on for all 88-00 Civics and all CRXs that have the 9.5" brakes, such as all DX, CX and LX models, CRX HF and Si, 92-93 Civic Si without ABS, and any 88-00 Civic or 90-01 Integra with Civic DX steering knuckles.
This setup uses the lightweight S2000 calipers and 11" rotors and clears 15" wheels (and some 14s such as the RacingHart CPF, Volk TE-37 and TE28, Kosei K1s, and others but I don't know which.)

No problem. Thats how it should be on Honda-Tech. unfortunately, good help without sarcasm and attitudes are becoming harder to find here.
If there are any specifics that you need to help further, post it up and we'll do what we can!

Itr calipers with mini cooper rotors on a ex knuckle bolts right up. Mounting bracket doesn't need to be shaved. Was a huge improvement over my vx/cx brakes.
I'm interrested in this upgrade. Been reading a lot on it. I've read that the mini cooper rotors aren't hubcentric to the spindles on the hondas? Does your rotor fit perfectly or is there some wobbling? What mounting bracket would you use in this case? ITR or civic cx?

The itr bracket I believe 23t... the mini cooper rotor isn't hubcentric but I have never had issues with it centering up once I put the wheel on and tighten lug nuts. I track my hatch on a regular basis. And if running a 15" wheel, you must have a 14" Inner diameter barrel.
