i have a 89 civic hatch with a 1990 ls swapped in it im having a heating problem new thermostat new water pump new hose's new radiator and my car keeps overheating. when the car is just sitting there the temp is pefect. sometimes my heat will go away but then other times its very hot and when i go to drive it it starts overheating and when i stop driving it will go back to normal temp when i turn the heat on sometiems the temp gauge goes up and it will over heat i block tested my car and it is not showing any signs of hydrocarbons so i dont think it is a blown head gasket or anything cus i have no signs of coolant in my oil either so if anyone can help me that would be awsome
The only thing I can pull from what you typed in your first post is that when you turn the heat on it starts to overheat. Well this tells me that there is still air in the coolant system. I would take the cap off the radiator and start squeezing the upper and lower hoses and keep adding coolant as needed. If it is done properly then you shouldn't even have to bleed the coolant system.

Fixed the problem it was a massive air bubble in the system i bought the universal radiator funnel and just let the car run with coolant in the funnel and it did the rest i think this is somthing everyone should get because it just is amazing this is what the kit comes with it is only like 35-40 dollors too
