Starting question
I checked the "search" feature but couldn't find my specific issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I just relocated the engine fuse box to the passenger kick panel and mounted a Braille 11lb battery in the trunk. I used 4 gauge wire (about 12 feet long) from the battery to a Monster Cable distributor box (from my audio days). From the distributor box, an 8 gauge wire goes to the alternator, and another 8 gauge wire goes to the starter, each only about maybe 3 feet long.
When I start the car, there is a slight hesitation in the very first two cycles, and then it fires right up (and runs perfectly). Its the same sound as when your battery is low or dying, but again, only for 2 cycles, then no issue. I've never used one of these tiny batteries before, so I didn't know if that's how the battery is, or if it's because of the distance of wires OR a combination of both?
Any ideas?? Or is that normal?

Loose the distribution box, run the 4ga directly to the starter motor and then run an 8ga from the starter motor to the "under hood" fuse box, run another 8ga from the alt. the the fuse box, the alt. lead can also be run to the starter motor but fuse box is better.
It will be a cleaner install and it connects the batt. directly to the starter as it should be, the distribution block is just adding a bunch of connections that are not needed or wanted, every connection is a point of resistance that limits current and will only get worse as time goes by.94
