what happened to my clutch???
ok so the other day im at school and i decided to leave campus to eat. i get in my car. start it. go to put it in first. wtf... wont go in. wont go into any gear. ok... ive had this problem before. except this time its not a slave cyl, master cyl, clutch pedal feels fine. i knew it was internal. probably the clutch.. so i tow it home. rip it off and this is what i see...
take note to the metal piece circled in red. i fount that in my pressure plate. it was preventing it from engaging:

now take a look at this. how the hell did this happen? these look sheared off!!

oh and that metal piece from the first picture. yeah here is where it came from. notice the difference...

so someone tell me please how the hell this happened? this is a competition clutch stage 2.
all the springs in the disk are really loose. i need to know why/how this happened. i dont want this to happend again.

ebay clucth??? that ain't so bad. i've seen worse. were the clutch plate denigrates and the small piece's fly out and put a hole through the bell housing. cracked the pressure plate in half.
just get a new clutch, and make sure there wasn't any major damage.

It's a common problem. The same metal pieces broke off my stock clutch at 135K miles. While I could still engage the clutch, it was extremely hard to shift.
Just put a new ClutchMasters or Exedy clutch in there and you'll be fine.

my spring jumped out on mines! could drive but was hella shitty and annoying only for a few days then it got stuck in between the pressure plate and clutch and that was it..
My OEM clutch did something similar to this... the spring was hitting my flywheel bolts and stopped me from shifting.
Abuse will cause this to happen... a high quality clutch will make driving easier on your mind.

call them up and they'll prob get you a new one, because it was a product defect. you prob got the bad one out of 100. did you break the clutch in first? most clutches requires break-in...
