Traction Bar ?
I have a EF that im currently dropping in a H23a vtec. I ordered the ESP motor mount kit, and got their traction bar with it. I was just wondering how exactly a traction bar works? I know that it eliminates wheel hop, but just exactly how? I searched around and couldnt find any information, plz if anyone can point me in the right direction or has info it would be a great help.

On EF civics, traction bars are basically the same as the radius rods the car already has. The radius rods serve to keep the LCA's from moving fore-aft, and only allow up-down movement. Aftermarket traction bars do the same thing, but are just much better at preventing wheel hop, which is a result of the LCA's moving fore/aft.
Later Civics and Integras had a different LCA A-arm design that would resist fore-aft movement on its own, without the need for radius rods, but the addition of traction bars on those cars also helps to greatly reduce or even eliminate wheel hop completely.
