i don't need it but sometimes it would be nice if i had one. example: times when it sprinkles and your rear window is dirty and you can't see nothing. but it would only be a problem if your window is tinted.
some people wouldnt live without it ..though it rains i rarely use mine...what about all those years when they didnt have them?..its a matter of preference whether u want one or not..if not..pull it and the motor..then cap off the wire end..then check the fuse box to see if they have a seperate fuse and pull that too
appreciate it guys. my preference? take it off. and sell it(to a friend of mine from wyoming). i barely have any use for it. livin' in sunny CA.
My cx has no rear wiper and I can't remember a time where I said to myself "damn I wish I had a rear wiper!" I just keep plenty of rain and fog X.

Mine doesn't make a difference. Even if the rear window is really dirty.
Get rid of it, I'm gonna be getting rid of mine soon

yup, definitely, i will be getting rid of it. good thing is, my friend wants it... and i get to name my price. lols. maybe a bill for everything, sound good? j/p we help each other out a lot, and still hasn't even paid for the rear upper wing he supposedly bought off me. once again, thanx guys.

edit: I took mine off a month ago because it was broken, but never got around to replacing it, and i never find myself wanting it when it rains, but then again, i'm in Colorado and it hasnt rained all summer...damn fires

so how much performance do you get by removing this part?
While overviewing my ek today I came across this black plastic plug under the hatch right under the 3rd brake light, then the light came on
Improvise! The diameter of the plug looked like it would fit perfectly over the wiper hole and so I said, "what the hell lets try it out." I removed the wiper w/motor and behold the black plug fit perfectly! It may not look as good as the oem one(i think), but its an alternative
