auto-manual swap wiring help
iam just finishing up an auto-man swap and i need to know witch wires i need to loop so let it start and to get the key out of the ign... pics would help a lot !!!
for the ign switch you can just un-plug the wires that hold the key in, i believe its a small black plug on the bottom, i may be wrong about the color.
the park/neutral safety switch is located right front of the shifter, its a 2 wire large brown plug, all you have to do is cut the wires, (or put spade connectors in the plug as i did) and route them to the clutch safety switch, this allows you to start the vehicle whenever the clutch has been depressed.
brown park neutral safety switch plug, route these inserted wires to the clutch safety switch

Let me know what car you have and I can get wiring diagrams.
Basically, the wires that used to be connected together when the shifter was in park or neutral need to be connected together so that the starter can be engaged, you can run these wires to the clutch safety switch so your killing two birds with one stone. Making it a requirement that the clutch be depressed to start the car and getting the circuit closed from the park/neutral shifter switch.
