the 93 Octane does not do anything for power unless you have Hondata reflash or K-Pro... I would say you will be around 145whp...you don't gain much from a shorty header and a short ram.

If the emissions are not too bad for Texas then I would go with a 3 inch cold air intake and a racing header...

With an AEM short ram (which sucks BTW) and a DCRH I gained a total of 22whp over stock. I dyno'd my car when I got it bone stock and made 140whp. After these mods I made 162.6whp 136.1tq with no tune, no reflash. I do have a 2.25in mid-pipe with stock muffler but I'm sure that didn't make that much of a difference.

Actually I've read on ephatch.com that the factory ECU will tune for higher octane, it's dyno proven.

However, the mods listed above WITHOUT kpro = your wasting your money.

It's not a waste. If you say that, you might as well say those mods on an a3 are a waste. It depends what you want and can afford at the time. I agree with K-Pro being one of the best if not the best mod for your car, but not everyone can get it right away or wants it.

intake and exhaust gains are minimal, race header is where you are going to make the most power

They are a waste. Maybe I'm just hard to impress, but I don't want to sink nearly $1k in parts for an intake/exhaust and be disappointed when you dyno it and find out you are making nearly the same power as baseline.

What's the point? Sure, it might sound fast, but try putting some real performance numbers on it (dyno, 1/4 mile, etc) and you'll be disappointed. Trust me, I've been there.

I know what you mean by hard to impress, because I am too. Also if you look around these parts will not cost that much at all, I spent $100 on the intake, $120 on the DCRH (yes a lucky find but still) and I spent $95 on my mid-pipe. $315 I think is definitely worth it for a good boost in pep. People don't really buy EP's for their blazing speed.

dkid15 - My exhaust isn't too loud at all. It's kinda raspy but everyone I ask that hears it when I drive by says it sounds sick. I do have a resonator, and before I put it in it was a little bit louder but it doesn't make that much of a difference in sound.
