I was just reading this months issue of Import Tuner and i saw the build article on the G23 with the F23 block and the H22 head, I guess a budget replacement for the K series. I wanted to know what you guys input was on this??? The article said the compression with the two will leave you with a good comp. ratio for boost at about 8:8.1. What do you guys think about this???

 

this dam mag posted a good story but the pricing is way wrong.if you are thinking about this swap just look up what the qsb kit is going to cost you,($1100) and 1500 with the mounts. just wait til them cali kids do the swap since they got the craziest laws over there and they still seem to have the sickest and fastest cars. and has not been test proven with boost yet either,so you dont know how reliable it is. i see you from mass i was thinking the same thing being the 1st person with this swap but i just went with ls/vtec turbo since is proven and not that expensive

 

that's funny, that's the exact build im doin right now is a turbo ls vtec build. But yeah i wanna try that out next. It obviously would be a timely project with all of the mods and what not. But they say the sleeves on the F23 are wayy better built for boost than the H22 beacause they are iron i guess. But I wanted to get the opinions of someone who lives in a state with strict laws also because Mass ARE dicks when it comes to tuners......but this project obviously wouldnt be for a while, just wanted to do all of my research and get all of the input that i can

there is already several threads on the g23 build (and even a lot of info from the guy that BUILT the motor for the mag) in the all motor and hybrid forums...do a search.
