Default Engine Swaps?

I was just wanting to know out of the B16, B18, B20, and the Type R which is better to have fully built and which will give you more power for the money? Thinking about the B20 but would like other opinions thanks.

even though this has been covered, ill offer an answer.

if you are gonna build it, why waste the money on a type r if you are taking out all the stuff that made it a type r? just my 0.02

Well I know that this question more than likely has already been asked but I am new to the form and I have a 95 civic DX coupe and am thinking about putting a B20 all motor fully built and was wanting to know if the B16 or the B18 fully built would be more horse power or not?

Thank you I went to a shop a JDM shop in Phoenix and the guy had told my friend that for 6 grand that a fully built B20 motor in my car would put me at like the mid to High 12's so I was just wanting to see other peoples opinions. Thanks again.

Well I have not got the engine yet. The only other thing is I dont know many shops down in Phoenix. I would like to find someone that can fully build the motor and I may even look into the B20 vtec but I want to find a place that will do good work and will not rip me off too. So still looking and will try to find other shops in Phoenix. Thanks

well I was told 6000 for a fully built B20 motor so I am going to save about that much if not 8000 just to make sure. But would like to save money anywhere possible.

if your going to leave the motor stock the b18c5 is best, but if you to build it then ls/b20 vtec would be a good choice.

that is what I think I will end up going with now the only problem is making sure that I find the right people to put the motor in and also make sure they dont rip me off. Like I said I dont know very many companies around phoenix but I will have to start looking and pricing.

the real answer. do what you want to do. i have 10K and im rebuilding a b18b because i WANT TO and i still get **** for it.

first figure out what you want to get out of it hp and such. then figure out your budget. then figure out what you would be happy with.
