So i bought this brand new ACT street/strip Pressure plate for my H22. Bought brand new throw out bearing from Advance auto parts store. I put everything in tried to engage clutch and it made LOUD screeching sound and you could smell and see smoke. Well i took everything part, bought new ACT pressure plate because after this the FINS were SLIGHTLY bent. I also got brand new throw out bearing because the bearings were fuc*ed on the new one i just put in. And what you know it works PERFECTLY fine. I told advance they need to pay for my pressure plate because it was defect throw out bearing. They told me i installed wrong etc. Well here are pictures. Is this Pressure plate still useable?
As you can see in pictures its slightly bent fins..

that looks rough man, I wouldn't try to use it as is. Wonder if you can safely bend it all back to "normal" LOL.

If you can get a mechanic to vouch that it was the throughout bearing that caused the pressure plate to fail you might have a shot.

I wouldn't use it like that. Only the spring is bad, so it would probably be fine with a new spring. It's pretty clear that the friction surface is virgin and the spring was trashed by the throw out bearing.
