Default Bumper Question

Here's the deal I have a 1998 Civic EX Sedan (SOHC non-vtec). I want to put on the front end from a Civic SI 99-00 (fenders/hood/bumper/headlights) will this be a perfect fit? Or will it require modifying? I'm new to the Honda world and wanted to ask the experts around here.

if you use the 99-00 radiator support its a perfect fit. but you can use the 96-98 rad. support, you'll just need to notch it a bit.

So let's say i use the support it has already when you say "notch" it will it still look good? Meaning will there be noticeable difference from using the 99-00 radiator support to using the one i have now? If it's gonna look crappy I'd rather buy the 99-00 radiator support.

when the hood is open you'll see the notches, but its unnoticable from the outside.
i forget exactly where you have to notch it, but iirc, its to clear the larger headlights the 99-00 has.
personally i'd just notch your rad. support. just do a clean job and it wont be that noticable.

actually, personally what i would really do is take that money and put it towards a swap, or a good suspension setup. but to each his own. but the 99-00 front end is nicer than the 96-98

I think I just might notch it!

The deal I'm getting on the all the Parts (brand new:hood/fenders/headlights/front bumper) is $420 for everything. What do u think?

thats super good deals. brand new oem headlights are around 600 a pair.
for a price like that i'd do the swap. when you switch the fenders and mount the 99-00 headlights you'll see where the notch needs to be. either that or somebody on here must have a pic of where the notches need to be.

Just thought you should know that you have a vtec engine not a non-vtec...all ex models have the d16y8 or d16z6 which are vtec eninges....good luck with your conversion

It doesn't say vtec anywhere on the engine nor on the car. That's why I said that, I guess I'm wrong.
