I've been looking for a different car for awhile, I saw this EP3 , it has a red valve cover, wondering if it has been swapped or what? Figure I'd come here and ask opinions about it to see what you guys think of it or can give me some info from what you see in the pix.

Just because the valve cover is red doesn't mean it's been swapped. In fact I would geuss no because it doesn't have all of the CTR engine garnishments like the silver spark plug cover and the silver feul rail cover. The only ways to tell if it's swapped is to check the block code or drive it. Driving it would be the funnest haha and trust me you will know the difference between a K20a3 and a CTR motor. The car doesn't look bad either but def. get rid of the CTR badges.

 

Buy it that **** looks mad clean. Not to mention but dealership wud probably havea bit higher price on it is the motor is a k20a. Check kbb and nada thou u may be able to talk them down a lil

 

The only thing I can tell on this one is that it is dropped, look at the wheel pic and you can see the red springs on it. :-P

I think they have a good deal on this one.

 

Things I see....hfp kit with the wheels....my guess is you have the hfp suspension to ( thats good stuff), red door pannels( not stock), looks like you have aftermarket fogs, a cai and shift ****..........I would check and see if you have 6 speeds. Most swaps come with the 6 speed......................nnnice car though

Oh yeah one thing I also noticed. If it was a HFP edition Civic, wouldn't it have the carbon fiber interior??

 

Not necessarily. It's like when RSX owners go to the dealership and get an A-Spec RSX, they don't always come with the suspension or the wheels etc. Most of the time all you see is RSX's with the A-Spec lip kit. Maybe the buyer at the time wanted most of the HFP options except for one or two. BTW if you buy it, I do have a brand new CF trim kit if you want to buy it haha.

 

Untill about 5 months ago, you could not buy the ep3 hpf wheels without the the suspension.....so there is a very good chance it has the suspension.....the dash was always a option, it was not considered "hfp".

 

hmm...not bad...full HPF lip kit with HPF rims and HPF wing, a s2k shift ****, corsport red H sticker, cai, red inserts for the doors, red front h with type r emblem...looks good to me...just test drive it and check it again...

I'd say its a fair price with all those goodies and the mileage/year. Test drive it and tell us if you feel.....i mean hear vtak.

on a k20a, a2 yes but on a k20a3 I doubt it...lol...
