well i own an integra for those who know me but i recently bought this other car for kicks. It is a 79-84 mark I jetta coupe. i know its not a honda but i need basic help none the less. well with car off i have compression when i pump the brakes but when i turn the car on pedal goes to the floor there are no noticable leaks throughout the system. the master cylinder seams to be fine. the pcv valve seems to be alright also. i am not losing any fluid from the resevoir but when i push the brakes the pedal goes all the way to the floor but in the last inch the brakes catch. when i pump the brakes the idle raises up slightly.

Secondly, When i go over speed bumps or when the brakes were working and i would come to a quick stop or slam the door or jump on the bumper the engine would sputter or run poorly and sometimes the car will stall.

also im looking for a helms or haynes manual i can download or print out if anyone can help with that. thanks yawl
