does anyone know about what the compression ratio would be with a d16z6 head on a d15z1 block? i tried calculating it and came up with 7.7:1 WTF that cant be right.

That sounds about right. The Z1 uses a high compression head with dished pistons. the Z6 head is more open IIRC. Using a Z1 head on anything but a Z1 block yeilds increadibly high compression.

hmm ive had the head off this z1 before and never noticed any dished pistons...

well i guess if the compression ratio is going to be that low then it would be pointless to put a z6 head on it.
