Skunk 2 intake manifold suggestions
I have a 01 gsr w/ all the basic bolt ons.. aem sri, dc 4-1, full stainless catback, aem tru time cam gears, and underdrive pullies.. would I benefit greatly from a skunk 2 intake manifold?> I understand gains are minimal in other words is it worth money? At same time i was gonna jump to a 65mm throttle body. not a geniune type r but same size.. Is this to much for my car at this point?? Thanks for any input.. Looking to buy this payday. (friday)
its def worth it, get it and put a 65mm throttle body on, and take it to a machine shop to get it port matched...you will feel the difference, unlike the edelbrock manifold the skunk2 is made for low end to mid range power, I did the same thing and i could feel the difference, trust me you will like it
i HAVE HAD ON ONE ON A 92 B17 GSR AND A 99 B18C GSR. 250.00 IS A DECENT AMOUNT TO SPEND PLUS IF U GET IT POLISHED IT WILL GIVE U ABOUT 8-10HP DIFF, I LIKE SKUNK 2 MANI U WILL FEEL A LIL BIT IN THE WAY THE RPMS CLIMB FASTER! I WILL SAY THIS IF U PLAN TO TURBO IT THAT MANI IS USELESS????

I had a 00 gsr with stock block with acl bearings, gsr head with skunk2 IM (for sale BTW *PM me) Skunk2 valves and ti retainers, skunk2 tuner series stage 2 cams, ferra valves, ebay short ram, 2 3/8" exhaust, twin loop muffler, and DC 4-1, untuned I put 174/121 to the wheels on an AWD dynojet.
its a great buy! it will def increase air flow and w/ the 65mm TB, you will feel the diff. with the cams, it might get you 180 at the crank but idk bout to the wheels...
