Need some Advice about a 96' Civic EX
Hey guys, Im a Total Noob here and i Admit that lol. IM looking at a Civic that has a bottom end rod knock( desribed by the seller). Im wanting to make this a project car with a buddy of mine. The seller is willing to sell it for $1450, is this a good deal? If you need any other Details let me know.

Talk em down to 1200. But yeah, it looks pretty straight. Just put the bumper on properly or change the core support. My Old Civic that got stolen was sold to someone on honda-tech at a local auction for $2,000. It had no air bags, no seats, no cluster, no climate control, no panels, no tail lights, no head lights, no wing, no v-tech head (Civic EX SOHC MOTOR), no intake, and what not so yeah even $1450 is a good deal.
i take a look under the car and make sure nothing is bent or broken underneath that will be costly to fix, like my car for example had some front end damage and later i find out i have 2 crossmembers bent costing me about $400 to get both of them fixed

Lol, thats not texas :p
I would suggest (if they let you) check out the frame, remove fenders and whatnots. I paid 1000 for mine and was unable to convert my '96 front end to a '00 because the frame was bent in/crushed. :/ I would try and bring it down a bit though. :]
