I'm going to be changing out my clutch and want to change all the seals that i possibly can while I have the tranny out. I know I need a rear main seal and two axle seals, but what other ones are there?? thanks
Those are the only major seals you will be able to replace if all your doing is dropping the transmission to change a clutch.
Although if your really eager, you can go ahead and replace your oil pan gasket (if its leaky), and you could even seperate the transmission case about 1/2" (not too much, otherwise the reverse idler fork will come loose, as well as the countershaft bearings), and you could re-seal that and bolt it back up- again only if you had a leak to begin with, as I would not reccomend attempting to re-seal the trans case unless you feel you need to.
Otherwise in all practicality the only seals that should be replaced at this time would be the engine rear main seal, the CV axle seals, and the pan gasket. I would also reccomend you replace your clutch slave cylinder as well since they only cost about $30 and they do wear and leak over time. This means you would need to bleed the clutch afterwords as well, but that is quite easy to do- especially if you have someone to help you out, extra brake fluid and an 8mm wrench.
