Default gsr msd cap and blaster ss coil question

i have a 95 integra gsr with a stock ignition. my question is how easy is it to install the msd blaster ss coil. or if anyone can just give me the basic premise. do you just need a positive and a negative wire to it along with the wire that goes to the distributor cap?

If you wanna use an external coil, you're gonna need an MSD dist. cap. (or similar)

It's a pretty basic set-up.

i ordered the msd cap for the coil as well.. i was reading somewhere that you have to drill a small hole in the cap to use the old wires from the old coil, and wire them to the msd coil. is this correct? i also ordered a ballast resister, will i need to wire that in?

Drill a small hole in the side of the cap, away from the rotor.
Use 2 wires and connect them to your + and - wires in your distributor.
Plug the spark plug wire to your cap and coil.

You're done.

its really simple to install but a waste of money on stock cars...
the oem colis are rated at around 500hp so ive heard but
u could prolly tune the car better with the msd

i had the same setup for a while. you dont need the ballast. it'll work fine. pull the old coil out to make some space. but really where the harness comes out of the dist. there is a rubber grommet. if you kindof cut a channel into it you can route the wires around the outside of the module and down to the grommet and when you put the cap down it will seal the wires against the grommet and the rubber o ring that goes under the cap. one thing though, i recently had a problem with mine and i contacted msd about 4 days ago about it and they havent responded. the epoxy that they use to fill the coil tower on the inside came loose and bounced around in my distributor and mangled everything. when i pulled the cap off chunks of wire and epoxy and plastic fell out in a pile
