i have a 97 prelude sh and i swapped the H22A4 for a H22A and swapped all the right parts for the obd-II harness and ecu to work with it...it runs great. well i had to order an intermediate shaft and bearing from honda cuz i had to toss out my ATTS system cuz it doesn't bolt up onto the H22A block. i've heard that other people have done this swap. what do i need to do to make my intermediate shaft fit correctly? every post i've read about this swap they have never said anything about this problem....someone please help.

 

im pretty sure you need some sort of custom adapter made...at one time someone made them on this form...maybe it was pirate

 

You'll need a non-SH gearbox to fit the standard block and intermediate shaft.

You need a standard 5-speed gearbox that's not from an SH Prelude. Otherwise you need an SH block that accepts the ATTS unit and transmission.

To find one you can search the classifieds, the Prelude forum For Sale thread, or go to a junk yard and use any 1990-2002 Accord 5-speed gearbox if you're in a pinch.
