Default Using Hard Lines for Fuel Lines?

I have a 25' spool of AGS Poly Armour 3/8" steel hard line lying around and I was wondering if I could use that in place of braided stainless? I know it can hold the pressure (up to 9,600 psi) but Im worried about the fittings. I see there are AN hard line adapter fittings but they might be for aluminum lines exclusively so I dont know if they will work for steel lines. Has anyone used hard line in the past and with what results?

i would think the adapters would be alright for steal and stainless hard line, because most people that run hard line for anything, more commonly use steal or stainless over alum. hard line.

where did you find these adapters?

Yeah, hardlines are the way to go. I recently did a car with 308ss hardlines and it came out great. For the fittings I got some stainless -AN to NPT fittings, threw them in the lathe to cut off the pipe threads and create a slip fit for the tube and then just wleded them up. I have made barbed fittings for hardlines before too with fine results. The adapters that use a ferrel should work just fine on steel.
