hi i just put new front pads in my girls EG, i know they need to be brocken in, but the bracking really sucks right now, plus they smell burnt after driving. Is this normal? thanks

Did you buy cheap *** pads?

 

did you replace the rotors or resurface them? its usually not good to put new pads on a worn rotor, this is probably your problem.

 

yeah i didnt get the rotors resurfaced, they were in really good shape, no grooves, nice and flat. i just put them on yesterday. its getting a little better, i guess they just have to mate with the rotors, i just didnt know if it was comon to put pads on and have it feel like the car isnt going to stop. thanks

 

you should resurface or clean off the old pad material when changing pads

they get build up that you cant even see and you need to break them in right also

if they smell burnt you got them too hot without a proper bedding in

throw them away and do it right this time
