stamp: p72-2, year 93
has gsr intake mani, pr3 cam gears but im not sure about cams
anybody know what motor this head came from?

 

its a gsr head.
all stock b series cam gears had pr3 on them.

as far as i know, b17 has the mani bolt pattern as b16, but this head has gsr mani on it ?!

is it jdm head? since it has year 93 stamped on it

 

i dont remember seeing the years stamped onto the head of a motor..take a picture

 

i have a 94 gsr motor with a dual rummer gsr intake mani (obviously) and my head is stamped 93. my understanding is that the motor most times is made in late in the year for early models of the next year. for example in septemper of 2009 they'll make the motor for a 2010 model coming out.

OP, little tip. Check the Honda partnumber on most any Acura/ Honda parts distributor website for any of the B-series, there all the same.

if P72 is stamped on the head as he says it is... its a 94-01 GSR head.

 

I say a 94 B18C1.

 

good point, never thought of that. owner claims its 95, but im not sure about that.

 

I've got a 95 GSR B18C1 in my EJ1 and my head also has a 93 stamp on it.

It's plausible.
