Icon2 navi in a 93 civic si

Im buying the center console that goes under the stereo for my civic and at first i was going to throw the stereo down there and block off the top hole, but one of my friend said "you should through navi in there or a dual din dvd player" I didnt care for the dual din in my car but i liked the idea of the navi in there.... but then i have another friend that said it would be too hard cause it would need a new dash wire harness for it and that the cds for it are hard to find blah blah... i was told that the jdm ek has navi... i just wanna know if its possible if not why waste my time and money.

I have an EK and wanted to do the navigation also. Basically it will not work because there is no cd/dvd with USA maps made for that unit from my understanding. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

ya forget that jdm navi that came in ek's. i have a kenwood touch screen in dash dvd player thats navi ready. i have xm radio with the traffic updates. the head unit, navi box, xm antenna with mini tuner was about $800. ya its expensive but i spend alot of time in my car so its worth it.

an the JDM navi is like 4.5", an aftermarket "like my clarion" usually are 7" + a lot brighter and more user friendly... Plus, a buncha them play DVD's, MP3's, and WMA's too... I paid $400 for my TV and $150 for my Alpine GPS from I think Lexus LS400, either way i got touch screen & navi and i love it lol...
