MSD Dizzy Problems
Hi Guys
I have a MSD dizzy on my B18.
After I drive the car for a while, if I turn the car off for 5 minutes and try to start it again, it won't start.
The car will crank but there is no spark.
I have done further investigation and found that there is no ref or sync signals coming from the dizzy.
There are no wiring issues externally to the dizzy (already checked it all out).
If you blow air over the dizzy with an air compressor for a minute or so to cool it, the dizzy starts to work again and will run fine until next time you turn the car off.
It seems that it is a heat related issue with the dizzy.
Has anyone herd of this problem before or know of a fix for it?
Thanks Guys

Thanks Furyof4, but my problem is I my stock dizzy died, so I bought the MSD to replace it. I would rather fix the MSD than have to buy yet another dizzy.
Does anyone else have any ideas?

Have you checked connections inside the distributor, being that it is intermittent, [works when cold but not when hot] sounds like it could be a connection problem. 94
