Auto to Standard swap
Hey guys, so I'm about to buy a 94 teg from a buddy of mine but it's an auto. I prefer a stick but I'm getting a really sick deal on it. So the question is;
A. How difficult is it to swap from an ATX to a MTX?
- I'm some what technically inclined and not really timid around machines.
B. If it is more of a hassle is there somewhere local in southern California that I can take it get that swapped?
C. Where is a good place to find a tranny and can I use the tranny from any DC minus the ITR?
D. Am I over my head with this and should just buy it and sell it and get a hatch instead,
?
Thanks

I'm getting a really good deal on it, it was recovered by the police and he does not want it anymore. I tried the search but nothing conclusive came up. Perhaps I'm not as computer savvy as I thought lol.

It's not to hard, just need some time and patience. Some people prefer to do it with the engine out, some prefer to leave the engine in the car. IMO, removing the engine is the easiest way, this way installing the lines, etc is easier. Getting the parts is probably harder.
Linkage
Axles
Half shaft
Hard Lines
Clutch reservoir
hasport Mount ( easy )
Flywheel & flywheel bolts
New Clutch & Pressure Plate ( Do it once and do it right )
Manual ecu
Get yourself a diagram to rewire reverse lights and rewire the automatic lock.
