i just bought a 92 civic tranny for my 97 civic because i was told that it would work. The only thing is that it is missing the speedometer gear but it has the speedometer gear holder. how do i take it out to put in a new one? or should i just get the speedometer gear and attach it to the old holder?

 

Why don't you use your stock VSS from your old tranny?

 

use the holder for the 92 transmission with any speed sensor
