Hondata ECU with built on OBD2 connector

Hondata ECU with built on OBD2 connector
I just bought a Hondata ECU with the built in obd2 connector. 2a and 2b have the connectors in different locations but the unit I have has all 5 pins filled which to me would lead me to believe you can use the ECU with either 2a or 2b. On Hondata's website it asks that you specify which unit you have whether it be 2a or 2b but why if it works with both? Does this ECU I have work with either the 2a or 2b? TIA

Yeah they are but I posted this same question on Hondata's forum and apparently its 2a or 2b specific despite all the plugs being filled.
