"crunch" oops
Well.. I rear ended someone. Luckily it was someone in their hunting rig. Was completely my fault and the guy I hit was nice about it. I was thinking of not reporting it to the insurance and just fixing it. I have a 1k deductible. What do you guys think?
Looks like I would need the fender, headlight, and bumper cover

I was thinking of looking for the same colored parts over in Seattle or somewhere close. I would rather not pay for paint... but I will do what I need to get her fixed.
I'm sure you could find the parts you need (in ASM) at a junk yard or online. People sell their headlights on 8thcivic.com all the time so check there too. At least you didn't get the hood!
Good luck.

Yea i work at a body shop and would say that is going to be more than 1k in damage and you also dont know if anything is bent underneath brackets and such get it fixed right its a new car
Thanks for the responses. I could easily see it over a 1g if I went to a body shop. Nothing underneath has bent other than one bracket up front for the fender. I think I will be fine with panel replacement. I am sure I could find someone to assemble it up for me without emptying my purse. And the more I look into it the more I am glad I did not report it to the insurance

I think that that would be more that a thousand dollars you need a new fender, headlamp, bumper cover, bracket, the rad support my be bent then all the paint work you would have to blend the hood and the left fender I would know, I smashed a deer in my si in that same spot but i need a hood too yours looks ok and my estimate was over $2400 in damages you might want to go to a local body shop and have them give you a estimate first thats what I would do.

Not my first rodeo boys... I once was hit in a parking lot in my Accord...the estimate was $1,100 for a fender and a scratched wheel. $75 for a fender, and $200 for paint work. I took the left over cash from the insurance and got my man, one hell of a steak for putting the parts on.
