What engine oil good for track?
I am using red line oil every 4000 km, but some one told me red line oil is not good, it will burn away on the track after few laps, they said motul oil is better. Anyone have a better suggestion?

I use Castrol RS Synthec 10W-60 on the track. Nordschleife approved!!
I don't burn any oil now.
On the street I use 5W-40 from Honda and I don't burn any oil either. But when I use 5W-40 on the track, it burns 1L per track day......
I'm going to use Castrol RS Synthec 0W-40 for street at the next oil change.....

Yup, Castrol Forumla RS 10W60 like Dutchi mentioed. I use this oil daily and burn nothing! The track Integras in Austria also running this oil.
Honda dealers in Austria are pushing Castrol 0W30, but I burned some oil. Too thin for hard driving IMO.

I'm going to pop some RS 0W-40 in this weekend. Will one 4ltr tub be enough including the filter change ?
Yup, it's exactly 4 L incl. filter....
Though I'm glad my car does'nt take the 6 ltr's that a Saxo takes (I think
)
Yeah, and Mr. Spoon said just use what your dealer recommends. And every dealer recommends different brands..... Which dealer is right, then?
I just use what all racetrack Euro ITRs use, can't go wrong.....

if you are running at the track, a thicker oil would be wise since you will be up there in the 8000 rpm area. Theres a HP loss, but negligible. its all about protecting motor.
I would run 10w30 all the time if I was on the track 90% of the time, or if i had a boost or extreme n/a setup.
Of course, any time the weather might go below 33 degrees F, i would consider switching to 5w30 and NOT driving like a madman.
