After reading through numerous threads on the subject, mine seems different. When I press the gas at certain times, its "notchy" and sticks. BUT its only when pressing the gas pedal in, depressing the pedal is smooth.

Could this be the actual cable or maybe sticky gas pedal? TB looks clean.

 

open the butterfly on the TB and get in there w a rag and carb cleaner. go 2 town on it. cleck the cable isnt rusted or corroded anywhere and finally get up under the pedal and start lubing **** up.
