HELP: Oil leak from Disturbitor or around
MOTOR is h22a: okay my brothers car has a oil leak from the distributor if you swip ur hand or touch the bottom of the distributor under the bolt on the bottom after its been driven and you let it sit for a while theres oil there...also theres enough oil that drips so that it actually hits the ground...the seal/gasket when you take the distributor out is fine ive also put some silicone around the distributor also...bolts are only hand tight as should be...so can anyone give any suggestions on how to fix this im out of ideas...thanks any help is appreciated....
even if the o-ring on the shaft looks fine, its probably not. Does the dist. go in easily, or is it a real pita to get it in all the way? With the new seal it should be a super snug and tough fit. I was amazed at the difference when I swapped out mine, it was probably the original 1993 seal.
yeah its not hard to go in at all..it slides in and you just gotta lock it in place...so ill let em know so we can fix the problem...thanks
Here is the part#
30110-PA1-732 O-RING (26.4X3.1) (TEC) $1.47
It is the SAME part# for all 1993-2001 H22A1 and H22A4s.
The JDM H22A is probably the same part# but I cannot guarantee it. The part is only $1.47, so I would try it anyway.
