Default Shifter Moving?

This girl has a 98 EX Coupe, she just got a new top end on it a week ago, but when its in gear u can move the shifter back and forth like its in netural. u can do it in any gear. its really bad. no one knows what it could be so i was wondering if anyone on here would have any ideas.

Im with 1990hf. I seriously doubt it is the bitch-pin. Depending on the mileage the 'seat' is prolly worn out. My car does the same thing, correct shifter pin, rebuilt trans with about 400 miles on it....200k on the chassis. Replace those and you will be golden.

i thought it was the bitch pin on mine but it wasn't. after changing # 7 & 10 it took care of the problem.

When you mean it moves as if it were in neutral, do you meet it moves from side to side in every gear?
