I just got my skunk 2 cam gear today for my 99 Honda Civic EX, and I opened the box and there is a small small part in a little baggy with the part #90741-657-000, and I was curious as to what it was and where it went in relationship to the cam gear. Thank You.

 

It's the cam key.

 

I found that out, can anyone provide some pictures or something to where it goes exactly in conjunction with the cam gear. It'll be the farthest I have ever dug into my engine sides changing my own oil etc, installing my exhaust, headers, intake and all that.

 

For center lining the cam shaft. Five keys allow for maximum cam degrees selection. Production key is used for zero offset. One each: 1°, 2°,3°,4°,5°
