Default Honda-Tech really need your help with this!!

I bought a 1999 civic ex with a 2000 ls swap. so at the time i was thinking cool I can get it bar'd. Well the guy has the stock ecu for the motor running off of a jumper harness because he used the stock ex engine harness and I know Im missing sensors. So my question is can I buy and hook up the sensors to the motor and wire them to the ex engine harness or do I have to buy the 2000 ls engine harness. I think I need a map sensor, and maybe some more. I know Im missing one on top of the fuel injector or intake manifold. so please anybody with advice and a list of sensors i need and how i could wire them ect. let me know give me some links or advice anything, thanks really appreciate your help.

My personal opinion. It will be alot easier and make more sense to buy the ls wiring harness. BUT im almost positive it wont work in the ex? Not def though. I believe there is an obd difference? someone help me out aha

there nothing wrong with it and yes you will be missing some sensors.
first
Intake air tempeture sensor or IAT will not be plugged because the ls does not use it where the civic does.
second the vtec will not be plugged on the harness because obviosly the motor is not vtec
third the vtec oil pressure will not be there because again the motor is not vtec.
forth the cfs (crank sensor) do you know if you have one?
and last why is there a jumper harness ? what year exactly is the motor? if he has the ecu that matches the year of your car he shouldnt need it. The other option is go get a ls ecu that matches the year of your car than you wont need the jumper harness.

Sounds like he is running a obd1 ecu if there is a jumper.

There is no reason to use a teg harness. Using a teg harness would be difficult in an EK. Also there is no need for a jumper harness if a obd2b ls ecu is used.

well i have a 2000 integra ls motor, the ecu is stock for the motor, it is a p75 but now im thinking that it is the obd1 ecu. The plugs for the ecu are the stock 1999 civic ex wire harness, that is why i thought they used the jumper. So what you guys are saying is that if the ecu is obd2 it will plug in with the stock 1999 civic ex engine/ecu harness. Also how would I bar this if things arn't plugged up?

ok so i checked the ecu and it turns out he was running a obd1 p75 with the motor that is why their was a jumper harness. So now my question is if i get the obd2b p75 that goes with the 2000 integra ls motor will it be better, i know obviously he disabled the check engine for certain things with the jumper harness, but if i get the obd2b ecu will check engine come on, i have a 1999 civic so it is also a obd2b so plugs right in.

You will need an OBD2B P75 Integra LS ECU. You will need to send it to Katman to have the immobilizer removed and a dummy unit installed so you wont have a CEL. You will also need to move pin A16 at the ECU to pin A15 for the fuel pump to function.

An integra engine harness will not work in an ek.
