Default NJ ITR Insurance! I'm being dropped!? (state farm)

Has anyone else in this forum recieve a nice note from statefarm saying that your policy may be canceled within 2 years?

i just got a note saying "Your policy is in a group of auto policies which were originally issued on or after .... and have no 'multi-line' discount.... your policy is in the group from which the non-renewals will be randomly selected, we estimate that only about half of the policies in this group will be nonrenewed.

I guess state farm is leaving NJ for good! . All state donkey punching...here I come To give you an idea of what kind of donkey punching we're talking about here....currently i pay 2900 a year, and thats a blessing... all state wants 4600 for the same coverage the entire year. Clean record too!

Anyone else get this? or is it specially me...

I live in California, and have State Farm *knocks on wood* I am very interested in hearing their reason for not renewing policies (non-renewals will be randomly selected, we estimate that only about half of the policies in this group will be nonrenewed.)!!!

I agree, maybe check out Allstate though. They might be slow to react, but I've never had trouble with claims.

Does this only apply for NJ? Do you know if they have filed in any other states? If they have, I fear auto insurance prices will be on the rise.. If it is not high enough already

Try AAA. You have to buy a yearly membership in order to buy insurance, but my rates are good and I feel better that my wife and I have the roadside assistance.

State farm is on their way out. They no longer accept new auto policies except for a few circumstances. I tried them since they were offereing the lowest rates on what was once my ITR.

Unfortunately, high insurance rates and ridiculous rate of theft forced me to sell the car.

Well, I've been dropped by Geico in the past.
And I'm still tortured every time I hear or see one of their commercials.

LOL! I guess I'm not one of those good/safe drivers!
No accidents in more than 25 years or so *fingers crossed*
Don't ask how many tickets in that time frame.

Ed,

Post the picture you took in Columbus with all of your tickets on your windshield. That was some funny stuff.

well if you have a family member in the military, definitely use USAA, I saved $1800/yr compared to donkey-**** ALLSTATE - who also dicked me for my stolen prelude.

Or consider life insurance to get the multi-line discount. I pay $25 a month for $50,000 universal life. Savings on auto ins. alone pays for this.

I'd find out the real deal about the Jersey situation, but my SF contact is on vacation

Pat, who remembers all the misinformation about SF and homeowners ins. recently

State farm did want to leave but NJ said no way. I was with them and get this:
21 years old
1 accident 17 months ago (nothing major fender bender)
NO TICKETS EVER
95 civic coupe
They wanted $2987 a year. AND THAT WAS JUST BASIC LIABILITY 15/30
My new company told me there overcharging all there sort to say "high risk" drivers so they'll just cancel and that way in a matter of about a year they'll have there cream of the crop insurees that are 50 and havent had an accident in 30 years. State FArm is a joke!

ok...update:

"can i get off this list by getting life insurance?" - No.

"Can I get on my fathers policy to get off this list?" - No

"Can I transfer the entire car title to my father to get off this list" - No.

"can I do anything to get off this list?" - No.

"Wow. It sounds like I'm screwed. Will my car history effect my chances?" - Yes, and Yes.

Ive had my car broken into 2 times, and 1 accident in the last 3 years, accident was not my fault.

Wow! I'm getting screwed. Bend over...... .

No Insurance for you!

hehe, sorry I had to.

State farm blows, they dicked me around like you wouldn't believe. They were charging me 300/mo for just my integra, and 120/mo for my prelude. They were royally raping me. Now i'm with my work, prudential and I pay $1700/yr for both cars!
