There is a show i hear about on a&e called jacked about police forces in Nj that catch, car thieves in the newark, patterson and clifton areas. A friend told me on one episode they put a car as bait and when the thief gets in the car they locks the doors and cut the power from a remote. I think they should use an itr as bait and get most of the honda thieves off the streets.

That looks pretty tight. It reminds me of this show that I'm currently watching called DEA where they bust drug suppliers. Its awesome to see those guys just go all out at it and get pumped up before bringing someone down. On a side note they have done that bait car thing couple of times here in NW. Last time about 3 years ago they persued some guy and he even tried to run over one of the bike cops, he ended up getting cought in the end of the day though.

I could picture the episode: "We had eight cameras on the car and have no idea where it went."

They should use different cars to trap different groups of thieves.

 

They havent had any new episodes for a while unless I am wrong. On the show, they dont steal many Honda's or Acura's just anything and everything else. Its always thieves that brake the ignition and park them some where...

Good show though... It gets you all pumped up when you see the thieves get caught...

 

I remember seeing a show or clip online where they used an Integra as a bait car. Matter of fact I think it was here on ht. There's a camera in the car, then the guy gets to his destination. When he gets out of the car he says something like : "I got another one, think it's a vtec , I could hear it." Something like that anyway, he's going about vtec, and that he'd heard it/felt it kick in. Does that ring a bell for anyone?

 

They find it 10 minutes later stripped dowm to a bare shell. LOL. I hate car thieves!

no I've grown up really sheltered from all that, the worst I saw was Camden on my way to the Ben Franklin Bridge meet last year.

The show above you mentioned is like on local CA channel 13 UPN and a cable channel I forgot... The show is "BAIT CAR" or something close to that... It is in the beautiful ghetto city of San Bernardino, my neighbor, haha...
