Default Make my d16z6 faster

Hey guys, i have a 95 civic coupe w/I/H/E. My car is pretty slow. I ran a 16.3 in the 1/4mile. I was wondering how i could make my car faster w/o nitrous or a swap. I would like a turbo but right now i can't afford it. What do you guys think i should do to make it quicker. Thanks.

Zex cam, bigger throttle body, remove some weight, remove ac and ps, get slicks, remove some more weight, and finally remove some more weight.

one of ma friends ran high 16s in a 2000 Civic DX coupe w/advanced ignition timing a Ractive muffler(w/custom 2.25)... how about u practice for 1/4 mile with the motor u have and keep saving til the day u finally swap a B series engine.... if u don't like that.... go turbo...

personally spending $200 bucks for 2 dyno runs to see the gains on a $200 intake or a $500 exhaust seems kinda wasteful. I could use that $200 dyno exspense and be close to getting some more engine parts like possibly a header, or be close to getting some rods? thats just MHO

thanks for the info guys. I wish i could hit 15.7. I'll just save and save till I have enough money for a nice swap or a turbo.

driver practice and some 20x6x14 slicks.

BTW what intake are you using? AEM/Slatertake will drop .3 seconds over the generic 3" shorty.

Wow i didn't know that the AEM intake was that good. I do have the generic 3" short intake. I'll look for one then.

Nice dyno graph. Im guessing that was w/ a AEM CAI. I doubt i'll dyno or tune my car w/ the little mods that i have tho. Driving off a bridge would be a little to extreme. My insurance isn't the best either.

Get A6 pistons and try lightening your flywheel.

15 dyno pulls, all was free. Just had to drive 500 miles to Memphis.

But while I was there I got a sneak peak at a nitrous system in early development and the dyno pulls.

Wanna guess what the kit was?

Really SIMPLE!!!!!!

That would be cool to get 15 free dyno runs. There's a shop around here that charges $100 for the first 2 runs then after that $20 for each additional run. I think i would rather save the money for someting else. Would it be hard to install pistions your self or should it be taken to a machine shop.

piston install, I'll tell you on Tuesday.

The old Z6 is not dead yet! Just a flesh wound!

Remove burnt piston, install a well used 95 Z6 piston and rod.
