EG and DA's underrated?
is it just me or are these two chasis are underated? i personally find early to mid 90's Honda's more appealing to the later newer models. For one thing i personally dont like the grill that later Honda's have in the front.I like a nice closed front end with no gapin (excuse the overstatement) hole in the front. The headlight style also is what catches my eye as well.Yeah i know that later Honda's and whatnot have the benefit of more power producing engines but personally i like building on a older gen that are not only up to par with current gen's but maybe even exceed them in some ways.Oh and lets not forget the EF's as well.
Well thats pretty much my take on the topic, i would like to hear what you guys think and also what are ur favorites and the pro's and cons of it.Please no flaming as im interested to hear other's take on the topic.Remember this is all opinion and all input is welcome.

Thanks. It looks a little different now. I broke my Spoon front lip, I took off my Vision mirrors and I have a JDM rear spoiler now. Other than that it's the same I guess.
here's my EG btw, work in progress but she's comin along.Ignore the wheels, still tryin to find me some Si rims to do her right.

oh and i plan on painting her Si Black (Flamenco Black Pearl) in the future once i get her done

Its just you. As far a starting platform goes for a project car the 5th gen civic is about as good as it gets on just about every level. The DA, well, maybe a little underrated in that the '92 - '93 are OBD1 and take a cable tranny, meaning that you still have the ability to tune relatively easily and transmissions are considereably cheaper than hydro units.

eh2 and eh3 shells arent that cheap anymore no matter how rusted they get if the owner is one of us...now if its an older woman who bought the car off the lot brand new and has no idea on how much its actually worth then its gonna be cheap
The integra DA is my favorite integra, I've had two.
The 5th gen civic IMO is the best looking civic ever, and I have one of those 92 EH3
though everybody thinks its a '92 Si cause I put a sunroof in it lol but its a CX!!!
My favorite honda's.

sedans aside i think we all can agree that EG coupes and hatch's are great.i myself am tryin to find a clean DA for another project but cant seem to find a decent one within my area
if anything I think that they are too overrated.. if I had a chance to trade in my ek for the new 4 door civic si I would.. most people stick with egs and da's because they are cheap! besides they are light weight and are easy to do a swap with. If eks and integras were cheaper then we would see more of those around
I think DA's dont get the attention. EG's get as much attention as the EK and DC chassis. They're so many options just as much as the EK and DC cause you can bolt on alot of the EK and DC chassis parts to the EG chassis. Now for the DA.... no their isnt. If most of my friends think the DA's are ugly and are just useless to tune-up, then im pretty sure alot of others think the same. I have owned two DA's and I have always been hated for owning them.
EG hatches get way more attention than DA's
I like DA's though its getting harder to find them clean and in nice shape
Now EJ1's/2's are often unoticed and i love the style over the hatch i dont care if it weights more i like to be lazy and have power windows. I dont really care for the newer style civics unless its a EM1 lol
sho some love for EJ1's

EG Hatch FTW. I have a project EG.
DA9 = OK. I daily drive one, used to love them. Sorta grown apart from them though.
JDM Front DC2 = FTW.
Modded Facelifted EK = Hot. (hasback*'s FTW)
EF9 = Hot.
EG or JDM DC2R is my fav though. I also like the JDM FD2R or Mugen RR. Hot as hell!
My EG:

And what it used to look like:

BTW: I think EG's get a whole lot of attention, DA9's not so much...
