It is a cool idea and it looks like fun.. but for the same money you could prob go faster just keeping it H powered.

That EK is my boy Miguel's car... That swap took a lot of work, and more money, but it turned out great, and it rides the fawk out... The engine looks like it belongs in that car now, and by looking at the outside, it looks like just your average civic... I will try to get some more recent pics of it... I'm sure the swap into a Teg would be not much different.

i think it's dumb if you just do it and keep it FWD. but if you do the swap and make it AWD, then ****, go for it!

Been there, done it, it's not fun. If you have to ask for advice on doing it, you probably don't have the know how to get it done. No offense or anything, just speaking from experience.

^^not really when you are trying to swap it into a honda and the honda motor already bolts right in without any custom work.

besides 4g63 heads suck.

I was going to do this to my 95 Integra but end up stepping up to a 2jz platform anyway I drew up an adapter plate to mate the 4g63 with the LS transmission and U can run the OEM Honda computer with distributor only some tweaking to the Honda distributor is needed to fit the 4g63 head.
I have never had a problem with my 1g DSM other than the OEM computer and DSMlink is garbage IMO,I used Microtech for my fuel ignition needs.

Why would you go through all the trouble when you can make the same power on a motor that just drops in? Some times being different just for the sake of being different is plain stupid.

Because someone wants to do something new and unique. With all the Honda enthusiasts around, its hard to set your ride apart from others.

No wonder I left the Honduh community. Too much sh*t talk.

DSMs are not garbage. PERFORMANCE cars break and last time I checked, Honduhs were NOT PERFORMANCE cars.

Crankwalk is an issue, not an excuse, nor overrated. Mitsubishi improperly machined 2G 7bolt cranks. Crankwalk is most common in late '95-mid '97 model 4G63's, although some '98-'99's are reported to have walked. What you don't realize is only 1% of 2G DSM's walk. late '98 and all '99's came with the Evo crank, which is why they aren't prone to walk. As for 6bolts and early 7bolts (from the 1G's), these DO NOT walk and are GREAT motors that will take a beating, especially the 6bolt. The 4G63 overall is a powerful motor that will handle what you throw at it. My stock 1G rods will handle over 400 hp! As for that "B18B" garbage that you claim to run 13's in, I bet you've spent a pretty penny on getting forged internals, big Turbo (if that) and slicks.

The 4G63 has proven itself so many times. Just look at John Shepard's STREET (meaning full interior for those of you not knowing what "street car" means) 1G Eagle Talon. It's running 7.76 seconds in quarter mile. The fastest 4 cylinder in the world, again is a 4G63, this time in 2G Eclipse. He just broke the 200MPH club running 6.87 seconds at 201.49MPH.

**** i run low 12's (12.2 to be exact) on a stock b16 on 11 lbs, on streets in an ek hatch with full interior.

i recall talking to lucas english myself hearing him say he hasnt seen crankwalk in all his experience with dsms. but yea crankwalk is an issue in all cars to be technical.

i think the problem people have between hondas and mitsubishis is the fact that hondas are easier to work on. I have a 95 civic and a 91 GVR4 and i love them both but the point is that they are DIFFERENT cars.
