I have a 1991 accord EX 2.2 with a 5-spd now I dont particularly want to put a turbo or nitrous because my car has 135,000 miles. I went to Jotech in Dallas and they said it would cost 5500 for a prelude engine installed (driveout price). Any other suggestions.

Do you have a shop in Tuscon? If so could I get the adress and phone number because I won't be able to bring it there sometime around christmas. Just out of curiosity what would be a list of mods nescessary to run a good amount of boost on my current engine and would it be able to overcome the difference in power from the two engines?
Thanks

anyway, $5500 is pretty expensive for a swap.

If you go to a good shop you get what you pay for. I'm one of the few people who didn't do the swap themselves. Just 1 year ago I didn't know much about cars. I probably could have done the swap myself were it not for the lack of time and a hoist.
It took one of the best shops in the area 5 weeks to do my swap and it cost me an arm and a leg. The labor was only 3 days but when you've got an ECU coming from Texas and power steering pump bracket coming from Florida and fuel rail from Oregon etc and someone sends you the wrong freaking parts it takes a long time to get stuff together. **** if I had done it myself only being able to work on it nights and weekends it'd probably have taken 3 months.
