Icon2 Smog Question?

Hi I have a 92' Civic SI with a B16a2 swapped. I bought the car with the swapped, and it has a p28 Chipped ECU that is mapped for b16. I was wondering if it would pass smog with the chipped ECU since I heard the chip makes the ecu run a little rich. This would be for CA smog btw. The car came with a BAR'ed sticker but I don't know if the past owner smogged it with the same ECU. The car is boned stock except for a ITR exhaust and Cat. Converter. It also have a Carbed legal Injen Intake. Thanks in advance.

The fumes does smell a little strong when it is idling. Maybe the smell is caused by the ECU?

a chip for the ECU is for tuning and remapping purposes(correct me if i am wrong)
take your car to get it tuned if it is running rich.
It will pass smog if everything was done right during the swap

So do I need to get a VAFC or any other equipments to get it tuned? I really don't want to spend any more extra money on my DD but if I need to, to make it pass smog then I have no other choice. I hope I am not required to get a Hondata or something like it just to get it to run a little leaner =[. Thanks btw.

no. just take it to a place where they tune cars. they will just remap your fuel system to run not to lean and not to rich.

Thank you. Now I just need to find a reliable place that does fuel remapping. Any recommendations for shops in the Bay Area?
