Default help.. losing power!!

ok ,,, i drive a 93 del sol... and yesterday was raining on the city.. and i went just into a flooded street, and thanks god i came out good of it...
but the next day. i mean today, when i started driving i felt that my car lost power, the engine still running good and sometimes i drive fine, and sometimes that car simply just lost power and it doesn't matter if i change gears i still lost power, and i keep pressing the gas to get the rev. up and after pressing several times it looks like something just pop out off the muffler... also the moffler does not sound the same. it sounds like clogged!
i wonder if is that water got into the trany. or water got into the catalytic because, it does it after i got more that 15 minutes driving on the road.

any suggestions? welcome

You could of sucked up water. I would change your oil, spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor. I would run seafoam before you change your oil also to clean out the carbon build up.

You also might need to change your o2 sensor. Good Luck

ooooooooooooh! not good.
if it was that high, you more than likely got water inside your exhaust system and your cat may still have water in it.

Nope. I had a CAI and I sucked up alot of water and didn't "hydro" lock my motor. I did destory my o2 sensor.

The stock airbox could of also sucked up water, anythings possible. With the water levels he was driving it, I wouldn't doubt it that he sucked up water.

the dirty water is just the carbon that is in your exhaust system. so its no biggy. in fact it SLIGHTY cleaned your exhaust piping. but yea. i would DEFFINATELY remove the cat and make sure water isnt in there. i would also check your O2 sensors

Time for a tune-up

Cap/Rotor
Oil
Oil Filter
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
o2 Sensor

(I would recommend running seafoam also. Put it in before you start your tuneup. Run it for about 10 miles then change your oil and start the tune-up.) Good Luck

i do not know how that can be possible.
EVERY 1 i have talked to about their car being hydro locked didnt suck up much water.
so i can not understand how your car didnt hydro lock. that is if a high amount of water was even sucked up

EDIT:

im not sure how to check it. but you can just hook up your car to an OBD1 diagnostic reader and see if it throws any codes for the o2 sensor.but i would still change it either way

I have no idea how it didn't lock. I drove it going 35mph in a 65mph zone. It ran like **** for the next couple of days. I did a basic tune up, and its been running fine since.
