why would you make another thread when you have a similarly titled thread a few spaces down with the same stuff?

aaaah.. i seee...wait, no i dont.

lol im kidding.. i checked your other thread before posting to make sure that they were the same thing and i dont look like an asshat. but the only thing i noticed different was the collector.. this one has a vband flange and the other wasnt completed yet.

good job either way, you're pumping these things out like nobodys business..

oh btw, are those fusion welds at the collector? they look really thin and flat to be filler welds..

not stepped. the bends are slightly more narrow than straights. inherent with mandrel bends they're never 100%

Sweet headers. Those LS1s have some serious tight quarters, I would not want to do a kit on one!

Looks good. What amp are you using and filler. I use 24 amps with 15cfm and .035 308st wire and i find it burns. Not nice color to it. Maybe im going to slow or not enough gas coverage??

24 is wayyyyy too little amperage. prob moving too slow.

generally i set the machine at 70 and work with that . make sure you have some good torch angle that way the puddle is always moving forward, itll enable you to weld a bit faster

Nice. What's the ticket if the pigs see that in San Jose? Over $1k? What do you do for smog, take it all off, or do you know someone? Sucks that the tubes didn't match up better, you know appearance is everything on h-t..but overall, looks good. Those engine compartments are so damn tight in those cars, and remote mounting a turbo sucks. Are you going to use some type of vented hood? I probably would..

smog .. k now someone and yes its difficult to get it all to line up, well actually its not but i'd have to either remove MORE stuff or change things around. if the pigs see it we get a state ref ticket but we can pay bail on it 500$ the first time and it goes up incrementally after that. However, having a domestic i dont get hassled hardly as much as imports do. i can idle next to a cop with my straight downpipes and rich gas mixture and nothing. * knock on wood*

the cars already made 649 WHP 669 Tq on the T70 setup. now its S475 so a 75mm turbo. no vented bonnet prior, no overheating
