will it work? i am buying a head intake mani and big throttle body. for my built ls. but it will be a while before the head will be ready to be put on. can i use the mani on my ls cause i really want to know what the oem built ls will do before i put the b16 head on it. lmk thanks for any help

 

My brother once bought a b16 intake manifold gasket for his ls, and it wouldnt fit. So probably not.

 

They are different.

 

im doing the same thing with my b20. the b16a mani works, but you would have to mod the b16a mani.

 

yes, the holes won't quite line-up.

IMHO, not worth doing that to a perfectly good manifold that you will be using for it's intended purpose later. I can tell you the gains from just the manifold wont be worth it.

 

yes i was thinking of reusing it later for a b20vtec, but i dont have money to do b20vtec so i just need something to drive.

 

yes the b16a intake manifold does fit a ls. i all ready put my b16a mani on the b20. i will post some pics later.

plus some b16a intake mani go for like $15 to maybe $40 vs a skunk2 that are like $175, but you do need to fabricate the b16a.
