List of manual rack conversion parts...
I did a search, but didn't find the exact answers that I needed.
Well since the motors out of my 96 LS, and I already sold off the power steering assembly, I figured I might as well put in a manual steering rack since it would be real easy with the engine out. Call me strange, but I just like the feel of a manual rack (especially after driving around in my EF for the past month
) So what are the parts that I would need?
Which racks would work? I read that the DA, CRX, and Civic DX would fit, but I just want to confirm with folks that have successfully completed this conversion. Also, are there any other miscelaneous (sp) parts that I may need (washers, bolts, etc.)?
I'm heading for the salvage yard this Saturday so I want to try to get everything I need in one trip

You need the 92-95 Civic Rack, with the steering column knuckle and the rack D bracket.
That's it I know I've done this.
You can probably find one from a private party for cheap, if not email me I can get you one for a good deal.

the bracket on the passenger side is smaller, you will need to re-drill the holes in the bracket or use a rat-tail file to elongate them. Really easy.
I just so happen to have a manual rack out of a 93 CX that I will sell you for $50. It will bolt right in (with the mod I described above).
Its in good condition, I can snap a picture of it and send it to you if you want.

Thanks for the info guys!
I'll see if I can source anything from the yard this Saturday and if their parts are ridiculously priced or not in stock, I'll be bugging you guys incessantly for the help on finding the parts
